More about the role
This is an exciting job opportunity for you to start your career as an M&A analyst in Amsterdam with Signify. You will be part of a small team of two senior M&A specialists and a seasoned M&A project manager with a solid deal flow.
We have a highly non-hierarchical structure giving you the opportunity to quickly increase your responsibilities on active deals if you’re up for it.
Responsibilities
- Market and Industry Research: Conduct market, sector, and competitor analyses to identify potential acquisition opportunities.
- Financial Modelling: Build and maintain detailed financial models including standalone business case development, synergy quantification and valuation (DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions).
- Due Diligence Support: Coordinate and support due diligence efforts across all functional areas within Signify that are involved in the deal.
- Transaction Execution Support: Assist in managing deal execution processes including timelines, coordination with advisors, and documentation.
- Safeguard consistency in all parts of the M&A process by coordinating every step of the process, ensuring strong and undisputed project management while ensuring buy-in from the relevant business in combination with asking and receiving relevant input from corporate functions and external advisors.
More about you
While we value and appreciate all applicants, we believe that the following experience and skills will be needed to shine brightly in this job opening:
- Up to 2 years of relevant work experience (or internships) in investment banking, management consulting, corporate development or transaction services.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities with attention to detail and strong understanding of corporate finance, financial statements and valuation techniques (DCF, comparables, precedent transactions).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to create concise reports and presentations.
- Advanced Excel skills for financial modelling; proficiency in PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team, self-starter with a high degree of motivation, reliability, and personal initiative.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus depending on geographical focus.
