The acquisition also aims to advance G-III’s other strategic initiatives, including capitalizing on their licensing opportunities and further diversifying their global presence. This in turn represents a significant opportunity to expand their international growth.
The Role:
The Ecommerce Content Specialist will support the Team lead of E-commerce content management in creating an engaging user experience through strategic and creative site updates. This role involves hands-on content management using Shopify, ensuring brand consistency, and supporting commercial activities. Through careful planning, execution, and collaboration with key stakeholders, you will enhance sales opportunities and contribute to refining the content strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Publishing and Scheduling
  • -Manage a content calendar to plan and schedule campaign launches and promotions updates;
    -Assist in managing the eCommerce content lifecycle for the Karl Lagerfeld site, from briefing to execution, while supporting site refreshes, SALE, and strategic initiatives;
    -Use Shopify content management systems (CMS) to upload, organize, and optimize content effectively;
    -Conduct A/B testing on content elements to optimize engagement, conversion rates, and user experience, leveraging data-driven insights for continuous content improvement;
    -Implement SEO best practices to optimize digital content for search engine visibility and organic traffic.
  • Website Content Maintenance
  • -Regularly update website content, including homepage banners, category pages, and promotional materials;
    -Monitor and fix broken links, outdated information, or inconsistencies on the site to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Collaboration and Coordination
  • -Partner with marketing, sales, and design teams to align content with broader campaigns, including email marketing, paid ads, and seasonal promotions;
    -Work closely with the site merchandising team and other stakeholders to design and implement content updates that align with brand guidelines and commercial objectives.
  • Testing and Optimization
  • -Coordinate and participate in testing processes to ensure website content functions properly across devices and platforms;
    -Identify and troubleshoot website bugs, working closely with development teams to implement fixes;
    -Provide input for new feature development and enhancements to improve user experience and engagement.
  • Style Guide and Asset Management
  • -Maintain and update style guide documentation and copy libraries in Figma and PowerPoint, ensuring easy access to brand assets and guidelines;
    -Regularly update and optimize content storage solutions such as SharePoint for team-wide accessibility.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an international environment;
  • Experience in digital content design, publishing, and on-site management;
  • Proficiency in CMS platforms such as Shopify, Magento, or WordPress;
  • Strong knowledge of Shopify and experience in managing digital content using this tool;
  • Experience with Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) for content design and editing;
  • Fluent in English (French and German language skills are a plus);
  • Basic understanding of HTML and Excel skills.
